SPEAKERS

"Finding ways to use the same guitar people have been using for 50 years
to make sounds that no one has heard before is truly what gets me off."

- Jeff Beck

After much research and consultation with our experts, we've discovered the absolute best speakers to maximize a vintage tone in your Airspeed cabinet. The company is called Austin Speaker Works and they've been around for many years focusing on replicating the vintage tones of the late 1960's and early 1970's. These speakers perform brilliantly for both clean and crunch.

Whatever your choice is, we can guarantee you'll be blown away by the tone of your new Airspeed speaker cabinet.

Austin Speaker Works Crossroads

The Crossroads speaker gives you the creamy tone of yesteryear versus the perhaps harder, more strident tone of today. Offering profound mids, smooth even bass, and all the highs without the hash. The Crossroads' 70 Watts of power handling can transcend the mythical boundaries set by the legendary “25 Watter” where the purists sacrifice nothing as they delight in the Crossroads' authentic lower wattage tonal integrity.

These speakers shine when it comes to vintage rhythm crunch tone. Weather your playing power chords or crunchy fills.

Austin Speaker Works Alnico Elegante

If you like Alnico, then this is what you need. The ASW Alnico Elegante is a fantastic speaker that brings out the chime and bell qualities of EL84 equipped amps, like Matchless, Vox, Divided by 13, 65 Amps, XITS and others. With warm lows and a brilliant bell-like chime, the Elegante has smooth and mellow mids further accentuated by a brialiant and detailed top end.

This speaker is the classic Alnico. Screaming llead tone, searing crunch tone, or bell like cleans highlight this top of the line speaker.

Austin Speaker Works KTS-60

Comparable to the vintage late 60’s CelestionTM 55Hz G12H 30, The ASW KTS-60 offers superior tone quality and power handling with reduced cone cry so you can really get the lead out! With its robust punchy bottom end, staunch midrange, and creamy highs the KTS-60 offers a graceful yet intimidating presence on stage or in the studio.

Players looking for a more punchy bass response out of the chrods, arpeggios or bottom end work.

Austin Speaker Works KTS-70

Comparable to the vintage late 60’s Celestion 70Hz G12H 30, The ASW KTS-70 like its KTS-60 brother, offers superior tone quality and power handling with reduced cone cry allowing you to really stretch the envelope of your amp’s tonal capabilities. With shimmering chimey highs, strikingly musical midrange and well-defined bass, the KTS-70 delivers excellent balance and versatility. When using a D Style amp such as a Two Rock, Bludo Tone, Carol Ann, or Brown Note amp we highly recommend the KTS-70 for its even full frequency response and lightning fast transient response.

An all around speaker with fantastic response in the high, lows and mids. This is just a greay "do it all" speaker.
